I grew up in Greenville, South Carolina and God instilled in me a love for the church and a love for missions work starting at a young age. I met my husband Josiah while in college at Columbia International University. After graduation, we moved to Montreal, Canada for Josiah to continue school. Soon after moving, God led us to a new church plant, Voyage Church Montreal, where we found an intentional community and a church that has a heart to share the good news of Jesus in a very under reached environment.
While taking government French classes, I got to meet people from the many different cultures that call Montreal home. For reference, Montreal is a melting pot of over 120 ethnic groups. Through this experience, God burdened my heart for the people around me as it was clear that the good news of the Gospel is something that most of them have never heard before. While this lack of the knowledge of Jesus is heavy, God is working and has opened doors for deep relationships and Gospel conversations.
God has given me the opportunity to serve with the North American Mission Board.
As a church plant team member at Voyage Church Montreal, I have the privilege of discipling women and helping them grow in their relationship with Jesus. Many people in Montreal have a deep cultural mistrust of the church and often view God as distant or inaccessible. Through building genuine relationships, encouragement and discipleship, I desire to help women experience the transforming grace and love of Jesus and understand that God desires a personal relationship with them.

The NEED
Montreal is a unique mission field with tremendous spiritual brokenness. The city is home to a large immigrant population, many coming from countries where there is little or no access to the Bible or the Gospel. While you can see a steeple from almost anywhere in the city, less than 1% of Montrealers identify as evangelical Christians. This reveals a great need for Gospel workers to reach both the Quebecois people and the many immigrant communities who call Montreal home.
The OPPORTUNITY
To help meet these spiritual needs, I also work with Borderless Canada to reach immigrants from countries with little access to the Gospel. Through kids camps, women’s events, and English language classes, we are able to build meaningful relationships and create opportunities to share the hope of the Gospel. These ministries help meet practical and relational needs while also communicating the truth that God sees them, loves them, and has given them great dignity and value.
